Have you ever been caught in a hailstorm? You try your best but no matter which way you run, you’re gonna get hit You go as fast as you can and dodge as much as you can and hope for the best. Finally you get to safety and you might be a little dinged up but in the end of it, you’re fine. You’re tired and stressed because you were on high alert trying to get yourself through it with the least amount of damage possible. It kinda feels like that’s what we’re living in right now. A long continual hailstorm. One thing after the other, maybe not happening to you specifically but happening to people you love or just in the world in general. It feels like we can’t even grasp one thing before we’re hit with the next thing and then the next thing and then the next thing. Humans are strong and sturdy but eventually you get tired of dodging the hailstones. You have to stop. Full stop. Take a breath. Always remember to breathe. Go outside for some fresh air and a visit with nature. The world is the same and the figurative hailstones are still falling but you get perspective. Nature goes on. Trees still grow, hummingbirds still search for nectar, ants still carry on with whatever ants do. And when you get still in nature you realize you are a part of it just like the birds and ants and trees and flowers. And you know that the same force that tends to the trees and birds and ants tends to you. You’re a part of the whole scene. The same energy that keeps it all going also keeps you going. And you are reminded you are part of a grand plan and you feel peace and love. You can now send love to the hailstones. You can appreciate that hailstones aren’t pleasant but there’s a reason for them even if you don’t understand it. So stay strong, dodge the hail and be thankful that you’re alive and living in the most amazing time in humanity.
