What is the word for when the word love isn’t right or enough? For what it is when you’re so connected to that one person that you don’t even need words? When you’re not together you miss them but then you see them and you’re happy but when you leave them again you miss them more than you did before you saw them? What is the word for that? Soul mate? No, still not quite right. It’s more than that. More than soul deep. Their laughter hits every note of every song you ever heard. Their smile is brighter than any sun you ever saw. And their kiss. Well. Their kiss. Again, no words. It’s not the intimacy. It’s not the attention. Its not the touch. All that’s great, no lie. It’s, well, it’s…it’s something there is no word for. That one person you are connected to through all time, space and infinite existence. And that’s not long enough. It’s not even a feeling, it’s a knowing. A recognition. I knew you eons before. I knew you in the future that we haven’t even experienced yet. I knew you before I breathed and will know you long after this earth is gone. The only description humans can come close to is love. After all, love is the answer. Always. Except when it isn’t. And this time, it isn’t.
